What is Cystic Fibrosis?

CF is a hereditary disease caused by a gene mutation. The mutation impacts how salt and water move through different membranes in the body which, for something so simple sounding, has a lot of complicated consequences.

CF is a life-limiting condition with a huge treatment burden. And it’s also important to note that CF is incredibly variable from person to person, and so is its treatment.

We made this to show some of the ways CF affects my body and some of the ways it’s treated, but we’re going to talk more about all things CF, daily life and ultra training in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for that!
